Children from Taman Posyandu Mandiri paid visit to the Police Station - Story from Mrs Syarifah, cadre of Taman Posyandu Mandiri

On Wednesday, February 24th, Taman Posyandu Mandiri conducted a remarkable activity for the children at their school. They went on a trip to the local police district office in Pamulihan and were introduced to our law enforcement agency. This activity is part of the program they have created under the theme of “professions” – this time focuses on police officers – and were organized together with the head of the police chief in Pamulihan.

On the day of the trip, the Chief of Unit Mr. Solihin, Mr. Supendi, along with other colleagues picked up the teachers and children. How delighted the children were when the patrol cars came to pick them up. They were escorted to the police station where they were greeted with more officers. First, Mrs Syarifah, the cadre of Taman Posyandu Mandiri, explained beforehand the aim and goals of this activity. Afterwards, an officer described their duties, and the use of every room in their office, and the patrol cars to the kids. They took turns to try different honks and sirens in the patrol cars, were brought to each and every room in the office, and were photographed with police officers. At the end of the activity, they were kindly escorted back to their school with patrol cars. The parents were satisfied to see their children having had an extraordinary experience.

Mrs. Syarifah and caretakers of TP Mandiri hope that this experience will give children an educational experience . Even without any help from the government or salary, TP Mandiri is ever passionate in organizing activities for the children. Mrs. Syarifah also thanked F2H for all the support given.
