Visit of UNICEF Southeast Asia Representative

Bogor, 28 Feb 2020.

At Bunga Bangsa Early Childhood Education Center (PAUD) in Pandansari Village, Ciawi District, Family Education facilitators received a visit from UNICEF Asia Pacific representatives Maida Pasic (Adolescent Specialist) and Italo Dutra (Regional Education Advisor). Also accompanying the visit was Mr. Wembi from the Bogor Regency Education Office.

During the visit, guests witnessed a Family Education Session led by the “deadly duo” of facilitators, Mrs. Dede and Mrs. Bibah, on the topic of Positive Discipline. The session began at 10:00 a.m. with a game called “drawing shapes.” Group discussions raised local issues such as not yelling at children, setting a positive example, and discussing house rules.

The lively atmosphere and warm welcome from the participants made the time fly by. The session led by the facilitator left a lasting impression on the UNICEF guests. “… [The session] was very engaging and so much fun,” commented Italo at the end of the visit. The session concluded at 11:30 a.m. with a group photo.

Thank you and keep going, Family Education facilitators!
