Infant Resuscitation Equipment (Sungkup)

Infant resuscitation equipment – to assist midwives in managing perinatal asphyxia. Its simple design makes it suitable for use by village midwives in remote areas.

More than 5,000 community midwives are now using this equipment. This research was sponsored by WHO, Geneva, and the Ministry of Health, Directorate of Family Health.
