Visit of Children from Taman Posyandu Mandiri to the Police Station – Story of Mrs. Syarifah, a Cadre of Taman Posyandu Mandiri

On Wednesday, February 24, 2016, Taman Posyandu Mandiri held a special activity for children. They were introduced to local law enforcement agencies. This activity was part of the “& professions” theme, which this time introduced the police profession, in collaboration with the Pamulihan Police Chief.

On the day itself, the Unit Heads, Mr. Solihin, Mr. Supendi, and other colleagues, picked up the teachers and children. The children were delighted when the patrol car arrived. At the police station, they were greeted by a team of officers. First, Mrs. Syarifah, a Taman Posyandu Mandiri cadre, explained the purpose of the activity. The police officer then patiently explained the police and their duties, the police station where they work, the police patrol car, and even the purpose of each room in the office. The children also took turns trying out the patrol car’s horn and siren, then were taken around each room of the office and posed for photos with the officers. At the end of the activity, the children were taken back to school in the patrol car. Parents were proud to see their children enjoying this valuable opportunity.

Ibu Syarifah dan para penyelenggara TP Mandiri berharap pengalaman ini akan memberikan pembelajaran bagi anak-anak. Meskipun tanpa bantuan dari pemerintah maupun gaji, TP Mandiri berkegiatan dengan penuh semangat. Ibu Syarifah juga berterima kasih pada F2H atas pembinaan dan dukungan yang diberikan.
